If you crave tranquility, venture to Kato Fana, an exquisite unorganized beach offering serenity and relaxation. Next, visit Avlonia in Pyrgi and discover the beaches of Salagona, Avlonia, and Apotheka, nestled near the medieval village of Mesta. Conclude your day with a stroll through Armolia, once famed for its pottery, and wander through the medieval settlement.

Day 2: Southern Bliss Unveiled

Continue your adventure through the southern part of Chios. Take a refreshing dip in Mavra Volia and Foki, two beaches renowned throughout Greece. While they may not be organized, fear not – there's a quaint beachside kiosk to cater to your needs. En route to the beach, make a pitstop at the Mastiha Museum of Chios. Proceed with a visit to Pyrgi, an eminent mastic village and the largest among the villages in southern Chios. Explore the village adorned with "ksista" (linear patterns on house facades) and "doxarades" (arches).

Day 3: Southern Serenity

Continue your journey through the southern part of Chios for a day of bliss at the beautiful Agia Dynami beach. Before visiting the village of Olympoi, make a stop at the cave of the same name – a worthwhile detour. Tickets cost 5 euros per person, with guided tours every hour. Proceed with a leisurely stroll through Olympoi and a visit to Vessa.

Day 4: Northeastern Exploration

Head towards the northeastern part of the island. Explore Daskalopetra and the Stone of Homer. Along the way, you'll encounter the famous Windmills of Chios, a picturesque Instagram hotspot. Take a refreshing dip in Mersinidi, a stunning unorganized beach with the Monastery of Mersinidi overlooking. This monastery is featured in the book by author G. Makridakis and the film "The Right Pocket of the Robe." If you prefer an organized beach, continue to the beach of Glaron. In Lagada, a charming fishing village, discover taverns and ouzeri for delightful meals, coffee, and desserts. Alternatively, visit Pantoukios for fresh fish. For a drink, head to Oz Bay and savor their signature cocktails.

Day 5: Central Marvels

Your next destination is central Chios. We recommend a visit to the Nea Moni Monastery, a Byzantine monument that belongs to UNESCO's world heritage sites. The unspoiled beaches of Western Chios are plentiful! Stock up on water, coffee, and snacks and dive into Elinta, Tiganis, Giali, and Trachili. Before and/or after your swim – make sure to have a light – take a stroll through the abandoned village of Anavatos, considered the Mystras of the Aegean. Then head for a delightful meal in Avgonyma.

Day 6: Northwestern Wonders

Now, it's time for northwestern Chios, starting with Volissos. Enjoy the excellent beaches of Managros, an unorganized destination, as well as Lemnos, Limnia, and Magemena beaches offering sunbeds and bars for comfortable relaxation. Next to these beaches is the Monastery of Agia Markella, and you can also visit the place where she tragically lost her life. In the organized beaches and the village of Volissos, you'll find plenty of dining options. From Volissos, you can also visit Agio Gala, a cave with unique beauty and a special history! If you have additional time, take a walk in the surrounding villages of Amani, with a visit to Palia Potamia, an abandoned village embraced by nature in its unique way!

Alternatively, leaving Volissos, you can visit Pityos for a meal, a village different from what you've seen so far. Surely, dining under the century-old plane tree will be a special experience. Leaving Pityos, for those who want to enjoy the unique view of the Aegean, you can take the route to Kardamyla, the village of shipowners. Make sure to have some light to enjoy the journey. Arriving in Kardamyla, you have the option to go to Ano Kardamyla or to Marmaro, the village's beach, for ouzo, drinks, coffee, and dessert.

Day 7: City Charms

For your final day, we've saved the city, Chora, as the locals call it. Begin your day strolling through Apotarita, the central shopping promenade of the island. Explore the surrounding streets with boutique shops, grocery stores, and small alleys boasting charming cafes offering loukoumades with chocolate, honey, and cinnamon. At the end of Apotarita, on Argenti Street, you'll find the "KRONOS" store with local ice cream. Try mastiha and mandarin ice cream.

Continue your walk to the beach of Chora, passing by cafes, ouzeris, and bars that offer coffee and drinks all hours of the day. Head towards the Castle, where you can visit the Turkish cemetery, the mosque, the Ottoman baths, the Dark Prison, the walls, and stroll through the settlement that once hosted refugees from the Asia Minor Coast.

For a beach day from the city, you can go to the sandy beach of Karfas, ideal for families with young children. Alternatively, there's the pebble beach of Agia Fotia. Both beaches are organized with shops offering sunbeds and umbrellas, as well as options for food, coffee, and drinks.

Continue your stroll to Kampos and admire its mansions, connected to the history and development of the island. Explore the orchards that host the famous Chios mandarins and other fruits. Visit Perivoli and the Citrus Museum. Check out the press in its courtyard and walk through its orchard.
